With small stations nationwide threatening to go off the air because of dwindling revenues, the "status quo isn't an option ... something has to happen, whether it's funding, whether it's government ad buys, whether it's fee-for-carriage," Conservative MP Patrick Brown (Barrie) said in an interview with the Toronto Star.
