Patricia Fili-Krushel, chairwoman of the newly-created NBCUniversal News Group has taken a firm hand at The Today Show, demanding a sharper and faster paced morning show. Stephen Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal, promoted Fili-Krushel to the top new job and since then she has reportedly been working on a plan for reinventing Today.
