Royal baby: Was global coverage over the top?

The media may have gone overboard in covering  the royal birth -- or not. But it  is always reassuring when it takes a breath and checks its own pulse, as done here by the BBC. It's a checkup that can't be over-rated in this the first half century of all news, all angles, all filler and if necessary all-anything in repeat cycles.  Maybe you catch the drift.
