Veteran Global News anchorman Tony Parsons will depart the supper-hour newscast months earlier than expected, with his last broadcast Wednesday evening. Parsons, who reduced his workload this year to just two telecasts a week, was expected to remain as a part-time anchor for News Hour through the end of February and the 2010 Olympic Games.He is said to be going to CHEK in Victoria that was recently bought by its employees.
