"Joke story" or a real hacking?

Yes, yes, Premier Charest laughed off the report of his death. "Reports of my death are greatly etc." The real question however is whether this a case of a genuine hacking, in which case who did it. Or is it a 21st century variation on the "joke story" which in previous times was never intended for publication, but got handed around the rim for giggles.
