Regis and Kelly hit Charlottetown; gov't spent a million to bring them there

The National Post reports that while some have called the $1 million in government subsidies spent to bring the show to the island as wasteful, the province hopes the investment will pay off with heightened awareness of P.E.I., which is heavily reliant on tourism dollars to drive its economy.

Maybe a whole new revenue stream for the media. Maybe not so new -- the CBC has always had it.
