The Star's critic Richard Ouzounian gives the Shaw Festival's His Girl Friday two stars only. While praising the cast, Ouzounian pans the 2003 John Gaure adaption of this newsroom comedy. Of course, His Girl Friday is a re-write of Ben Hecht and Charles McArthur's 1928 legend The Front Page. Ouzounian has a number of complaints and we think he might agree with us that the ommission of a truly trademark line is unforgiveable. How could anyone write out Walter Burn's pithy headline "Sheriff Hartman: Stooge of Stalin or Simply Stupid?" Toronto Star review
